Note on the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)
AIDetego is operated as a sole proprietorship (micro-enterprise) and is not subject to the obligations of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) pursuant to Section 1(3) BFSG in conjunction with Section 2(17) BFSG. Nevertheless, we voluntarily commit to accessible use of our website and align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Conformity Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The measures listed below have been implemented to improve accessibility. We are continuously working on further improvements.
Implemented Measures
Semantic HTML
Use of semantic HTML elements (header, nav, main, footer, section) for clear document structure. Heading hierarchy (h1–h3) is consistently maintained.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are reachable via keyboard. There is a skip-to-content link, visible focus indicators and a focus trap in the mobile menu. Dialogs can be closed with the Escape key.
ARIA Attributes
Interactive components use ARIA attributes (aria-expanded, aria-label, aria-live, role) for better screen reader support. SVG graphics have alternative text.
Colour Contrasts
Colours are not used as the sole distinguishing feature. Text and background colour combinations meet WCAG contrast requirements. The colour scheme supports both light and dark mode.
Reduced Motion
Animations are disabled when the operating system setting "reduce motion" (prefers-reduced-motion) is active. This affects score animations, transitions and decorative effects.
Responsive Design and Zoom
The website is fully responsive and works at up to 200% browser zoom without loss of information. Texts use relative units (rem) and adapt accordingly.
Screen Reader Optimisation
Analysis results are announced via aria-live regions. Loading states are communicated via aria-busy. Decorative elements are marked with aria-hidden.
Known Limitations
- The colour-coded sentence highlighting in the text view may be difficult to distinguish for colour-blind users. Scores are additionally displayed as text.
- External content (Google AdSense) is not under our control regarding accessibility.
